Diver helping with a TransectBenthic monitoring is completed at annually using a video monitoring technque at each of the four sites:

  1. Hoffman's Rocks
  2. Barolin Rocks
  3. Burkitt's Reef
  4. Double Rock

Two depth profiles have been selected for study - 3 & 5 metre. Five 20 metre transects will then be carried out at each depth and site in order to provide a random sample of the sites.

This method ideally requires a minimum of six people working in buddy pairs.
